Travel Bereavement Program

A funeral or memorial service gives family and friends time to support each other, to share memories, and to celebrate a life lived.

The Bereavement Travel Program is offered exclusively by Dignity Memorial™ funeral, cremation, and cemetery service providers throughout the United States and Canada.

The Bereavement Travel Program's benefits include:

  1. As a benefit for selecting a Dignity Memorial™ provider, four members of the immediate family of the deceased are eligible to receive special savings on airfares offered through the Bereavement travel Program to travel to attend a funeral, memorial, or graveside service.
  2. Significant savings on airline travel across the United States, and to and from international destinations, including Canada. These savings may be lower than the standard airline "bereavement" travel fares and have fewer restrictions.
  3. Assistance from professional travel agents who can help you to make travel arrangements. This service is available seven days a week from 8:00AM to 7:00 PM Central Standard Time. Call: 1 800-224-4177.
  4. All airfares ticketed through the Dignity Memorial™ Travel Desk qualify for frequent flyer program benefits.

In order to take advantage of the discounted airfares offered through the Dignity Memorial™ Bereavement Travel Program, you must make your travel arrangements through the Dignity Memorial™ Bereavement Travel Program benefit and provide them with the following information:

  • Name of Funeral Home/Cemetery
  • Reference Number
  • Name of the Deceased
  • Credit Card Information

This information will be provided to you at the time that you make your arrangements. You can then share this information with your family and friends who will be traveling to attend the service.

Honored Dignity Memorial™ providers have secured significant savings on airfares throughout the United States, as well as certain international destinations (including Canada), to assist family and friends in making travel arrangements to attend a funeral, memorial, or a graveside service.
