Nevsky Eventually the road of human's life will stop suddenly some day…
Facility

Nevsky Memorial Chapels - “Nevsky” - offers families the convenience and comfort of two private offices to discuss arrangements, two chapels and a family room within one building.

When we designed our offices, we took the mind set of the families we help into consideration. To alleviate the feelings of anxiety and emotional loss accompanying funeral arrangements, Nevsky did away with the traditional desk arrangement. We furnished each office with round tables to eliminate the sense of distance conveyed by someone seated behind a desk. Nevsky feels it is important to foster a sense of closeness and togetherness not business urgency. The family of the deceased and the Nevsky family are all equals in the arrangement process.

Our two chapels provide the ability to accommodate small to large guest visitation needs. Our large chapel has room for up to 275 guests, while our small chapel holds up to 125 guests. The family room and visitation area are open at all times and has room for up to 50 people. We chose a second floor location for the burial items selection room. This gives families the quiet privacy necessary, while making decisions. The monument room has a full range of artfully crafted markers and monuments to consider.

Our responsibility to each family extends to the travel needs of its guests attending services at our chapels. Nevsky has its own, large parking lot and is near all mass transportation and major thoroughfares.

Nevsky devotes itself to the diverse community we serve. We realize that as the community grows, our funeral home facilities must meet all its demands and inquiries in order to better serve the community’s needs.

In 2002, after several relocations, Nevsky chose the building you know today as its main location. This building stood out as the one capable of meeting Nevsky’s need to serve the entire Brooklyn area. The glass front exterior and modern interior design selections reflect the old world, European taste, with photographs, lithographs and sketches of Russia, the homeland country for many, decorating the walls. The interior design offers all the amenities to provide as much comfort during mourning, while aiding in the beginning of emotional healing. Outside, the chapel’s sign gives the facade of the building to its now familiar appearance.
